Hello, my name is Aziz and I'm the son of a divorced mother. She is really my superhero. That's why it's important for me to support women to share their uniqueness, their personalities, perspectives and emotions about this world. In these difficult times in human history, we need to bring the people of the world together. And when we hear the voices of women, when we listen to real lives of women from other countries, we connect our cultures without differences or stereotypes, and we get inspired by their stories to live a better life. That's what this podcast is all about. My guest today is Crystal Patton. Crystal is an Indian girl working in R&D for the National Rural Livelihoods Mission. She is working on promoting green environments such as planting trees and varieties of flowers. Crystal is originally from the northeast of India and she had various opportunities representing her district. She won first runner-up in modeling as well as beauty pageants within her area. Crystal, how are you today? I'm so incredibly delighted to be here on this live podcast with you. I'm doing great and I'm so happy to deliver a short but interesting speech with you. I love that. I'm so honored, lucky and happy to have you here and very curious about you, Crystal. So I'll begin with this nice first question. If your friends could describe your personality, what would they say about you? I'm sure they will say like helpful, friendly, caring and most cheerful. I love that. And I love the cheerful part because we live in a time where many people are suffering from negativity. What do you do to keep yourself cheerful? I do not get all those negativity to hold me back. I always look forward to keep myself healthy and happy at the same time with the people who are around me, whether my parents, my friends or a well-wisher. I always choose the right path to stay cheerful always because there are many reasons when we think about life. There are many reasons that can distract us from staying healthy at the same time. To be cheerful as usual. To be cheerful daily is impossible. So to be healthy and to be cheerful in life, one have to move forward, think about the positivity that will bring joyful and harmony to our life, to oneself. So that will describe as a cheerful to me. Thank you. And is this something that inspires your interest in the environment and your work with planting trees and planting flowers, etc.? Is it the same way that you want to spread your good energy within humanity? You want to spread good things within nature or is it unrelated? Why the interest in supporting the good cause of the environment protection and growth? Nowadays, as we can see all over the corner, there is a lot of pollution, discrimination towards the nature, to the mother earth. I can say to the mother earth. So when I think of this, when I imagine, when I take a glimpse of this mother earth, which we should, one should protect and one should think as their home. Instead, they are destroying this mother earth by doing all the harsh things, not only to the nature, but to the humans and to the animals. So if we want changes and if we are meant to change this entire world or do bring the best, one should start from within, within our surrounding, within ourselves. So like to keep the environment healthy and all. I encourage myself. I am directly not telling others to be like me, but I want them to learn something from me that I'm doing, do my day to day activities, like when we put effort in something and that comes out in a positive way. No one is overwhelming than the one who took care of that particular things, whether it is a plantation of a tree, whether it is a plantation of a flower. So to spread the awareness, how to promote all this, I am doing by myself, just doing by myself to let the people see by the way I am doing, by the way I'm caring, by the way I'm involving in my daily to day lives. I understand 100 billion, million percent. I love this poetic attitude that you have. And therefore, I will ask how much did the culture of India or the northeast of India culture inspire your attitude that is positive and your interest in saving the planet? Is there something that maybe some people don't know about your culture that create such good people and inspired you on this mission? Indeed, there are, I can say there are a lot of people, especially in this northeast India. We are staying in a rural place where there is a least knowledge about protecting the nature as we are already belonging from a tribal places where there is a least technology in the past. So people tend to survive in a farming, for example, chum cultivations and all. So they tend to destroy the trees and all to keep surviving their life, to keep surviving their life. So like, yeah, it is in 21st century now that people are getting to learn about what will happen in the next 10 years. What could happen if we do this in the next 10 years? Yeah, people are aware of it. And yeah, of course, I don't do all those awareness in front of a million people. But yeah, I am trying myself to give this awareness to my neighbors, to my close friends and to my families. So like in this northeast places, yeah, nowadays the colleges, the universities, the institution nowadays, they are promoting in every colleges and everywhere, giving this awareness program how to keep the environment healthy by planting a tree. Each person can plant 5, 10, 5 to 10 plants, yeah, trees or something so on. And this very little activities can bring a thousand times changes in our day to day life. So like, yeah, of course, I believe there are a lot who can do more to bring changes in our northeastern part of Nagaland, which is part of India. I believe there are changes now. I love that. I love your inspiring attitude, etc. And I understand why. But some people might be curious because there are people from India everywhere in the world. They love to share their culture with other countries to explore. So to you, what is currently keeping you in addition, of course, to you supporting the environment within India, but what kept you there compared to, for example, spending a few years as an expat or an exchange in many of the great countries that Indian people love to go to, whether it's in Europe, the US, the Middle East, etc. Why staying longer and spending so many years only in India? Regarding the questions, I would like to say like, yeah, we are already ahead, already ahead of. Yeah, we are already ahead. But still then, as we are born and brought up from this culture, from this culture, we generally, I will say like we get at least opportunity to choose what we believe and what we want, what we want. Of course, nowadays, we as generally we women, yeah, we women to this current day no longer rely on anything like on men or to parents alone only. But once we get to see the least chances to go out or to step out of our home down, then we are confined that already like, yeah, there is no chances of me to go to step out of this. So let's be here. Let's be here where we are already. And why not? We bring dangers from here at our root itself only. So what makes me inspired is that I would love to do whatever I can to make the, to bring the dangers in the very places itself where I am already, even though there are a lot people, a lot places, I mean, a lot places like as you mentioned here and there, which we can't. But to give a knowledge and to give example to the youngest one, I take this, I take this step to be here at the very place where I was born and brought up on this beautiful land of Nagaland, a part of India. Thank you so much. And some people might be curious to know, what is your daily routine so that they understand the day in a life of a girl from India who is involved with protecting the environment? Are you a morning person or a night owl? When do you spend time to take care of your body health and maybe go for a run or like workout? When do you meet friends? How much work do you do? How is your schedule and normal daily routine so that maybe it can inspire other women how to know more how you're living? As a rural girl, I would say like my day-to-day activities, yeah, of course, there is everything right in front of us now. Everything is in the palm of our arms. So like to give myself or to encourage the others, other women around us, like I, I myself, I myself do my daily activities. Like, yeah, if it is an official work, then let it be that official work completed. But to keep myself healthy, to keep myself healthy and then do my fitness. Yeah, of course, I go for a jogging. I go for a run to keep myself healthy, fit. And I used to keep myself busy because when I used to stay calm, quiet, doing nothing, then I used to feel like, why am I wasting this precious time doing nothing? So instead of doing nothing, wasting time, I look, I'm looking forward and I'm doing to plant more trees, to take care of the flowers, to do the environmental work, which I am already on do. And I'm so happy in spending times, my day-to-day activities and the weekly routines as usual in this way. So like, what I want to say is that no matter how busy, no matter how busy we are, no matter how, yeah, no matter how tight and hectic schedule we have, one should manage to do whatever we want and whatever we need to keep ourselves healthy and to do whatever we desire to do and to be dependent and independent in that way. And I would like, I would like to encourage the outside world, outside the women to celebrate their unique beauty, unique beauty to accept and to be confident in whatever they are, because uniqueness is the perfect beauty of gift. As the women, we are the source of life itself. And every woman is exceptional, whether she works from home or an office. So I would encourage the rest of the women around the world to be confident, to have a confidence, because once you have a confidence in yourself, then magic will start to happen and everything will go on smoothly as you want, as you, as you desire. And this will inspire the others. 100 billion percent. And I agree with you. Women's confidence is so important. Can you share maybe how you worked on your confidence or some tips or things that women can implement in order to practically work on their confidence? Because many can feel intimidated when they say, oh, yes, of course, it's important to improve my confidence, but I don't know how. To talk about the confidence, as I am telling to myself, as I'm talking to myself, yeah, as I'm talking to myself and at the same time to the others, to the other women around the world, one should embrace your own unique beauty, celebrate your own gifts with confidence, with confidence. And exceptional women is one with a sense of inclusion and rightness that can change the world. Like me, there are many exceptional women who need not only to be brought to the double, but to encourage, to encourage, to make their own way there, to set and share with strength, bias, beauty and dignity. So I would encourage the women to voice out, to voice out and to be confident in themselves no matter what, because there are many reasons and many people who can break us down instead of leading us towards. So I would encourage all, all, as a woman, I would encourage everyone, everyone, generally everyone to be confident in themselves no matter what the situation they are in, because confidence is the only thing that will lead us to the successful now or in the future. I love that and I really support it so, so much. And to speak about your expertise and experience supporting the environment, maybe there are women who are listening today who are thinking, yes, I want to support the environment, but I'm not similar to you, part of planting trees, etc. What can they do so that we have a better future and we save ourselves from the potential for very, very bad environmental consequences in the future? There are a lot of ways to promote and to save and to do, even, even if they don't, even if they don't take part in such activities like the way I am doing right now, there are many activities they can do, like promoting, promoting, cleaning up the surroundings, like using paper bags or maybe like, yeah, etc, etc. There are many things which we can recycle, reuse and then yeah, all those things. So like planting trees and planting flowers and all this are not the only thing that will bring changes to our mother earth. There are certain things which people don't even think about it. They thought like, yeah, these are the only ways to, but there are many ways, like as I mentioned, by protecting the environment, one should promote an awareness program, maybe not to the millions of people around the world, but encouraging, telling them, motivating one person in a day, in a day can change our entire world. Thank you so much, Crystal. Honestly, it was my privilege and my honor to include you in this project, to share your voice as a woman and to include you in this podcast. So much wisdom, so much insight. Thank you so much. It's my honor and privilege to interview you. Thank you so much for having me on this live podcast. I would like to see, would like to meet in the future, in a way, how to do voice out for the women globally. I'll be more happy and will be more welcoming, more welcoming and more motivational in the next time to meet again. Let us honor and respect all the amazing women in our life, whether they are your mother, wife, or daughter. Let's demonstrate our pride in the achievements and commitment to the building world free of ills for women. Thank you so much for having me once again. Thank you.
