That's what this podcast is all about. My guest today is Khanzada Mamitova. Zara is from Kazakhstan and she has been living in her second home, Dubai, for almost 10 years. Zara is a Dubai food and lifestyle blogger. She has eight years experience in Dubai as a beauty and fashion advisor. Zara loves traveling a lot. She has visited more than 19 countries around the world. Zara also has several makeup artist certificates from Kazakhstan and Russian worldwide famous celebrity makeup artist. While she was traveling, Zara was posting a lot of information about the places she has visited on her Instagram. For this reason, Instagram added her in the category of travel blog. Zara is recently happily married and she's working as a freelance job customized resume maker. Zara, how are you today? Good evening Aziz and I'm very very happy to meet you and I very appreciate the introduction about this podcast and about introduction about myself as well and welcome to my world. Thank you I'm excited I'm very happy to know you more and to share your voice and your story and I'll begin with this nice first question which is Zahra if your friends and the people who know you best could describe your personality, what would they say about you? So I'm very friendly and I'm always flexible and I have a positive vibes. And they are coming always for some advice. They say that I'm matured enough than my age. So whenever they had difficulties in their life, So it's free to come to me and to discuss about situations. I like that very, very much. And even before, you're someone who's mature, someone who seems to be kind, who supports other people. Are people something or like a big important part of your life when you travel, for example, is it a lot about meeting new people from different cultures or is it about the nature or is it as a food blogger about the food or how is travel connected with your personality and your love to be kind to people? So, yes, I can say that it's all about together because I love traveling. I never had jet lags. Maybe I could be a nice cabin crew as well, but I choose another way. But I like traveling. I like to see new places. I like to meet new people and to describe new culture and to know more. Whenever I go to new places, I go to see the places which is very unique. And as we say, it's like local, local unique destination places. Like, for example, each place and each city, they have their own history and they have uniqueness of architecture and about the food, the way how they cook the food and the way how they eat the food. also it's very interesting so to meet new people to open for myself new things this is gives me very good what i can say like it gives me something nice mood it gives me to to know more to know more and to visit the second country and it gives me to to know more about the new countries as well. Thank you. And do you use the same curiosity and skill and desire when you're making and helping people with their resumes? Because it sounds very similar that you try to discover the skills of the person, their history, their uniqueness. It's like the same thing you do when you travel. Maybe the same thing you do as a freelance, customized CV and resume maker. Can you speak a bit more about that? Yes, this is the beginning, I start to do it for my friends to help them because I like to do the Instagram content to post a nice web design. I like to do the websites and I like in these aesthetic pictures. I like to see everything very beautiful way. So what I decided to do for one my friend she asked me if she if I can help her to make a resume I told her okay I will do it in my way and if you like it I will add it some design and you will decide that you like it or not so I start to do it from all my heart I put the design and I start to use the like minimalism style, because as its resume should be professional way as well, not too much color, it should be very unique style and same time it should be like attractive for recruiting team. It should be very clean and minimalism. So she really liked it and she start to tell to their friends who really needed resume and they said to come to me okay we like the same which you did before but we need like we are three people can you do it for us so it started in this way and I really love it and it's like my hobby as I am now married so I cannot travel a lot like before so I start to it like at home to helping people to find their dream jobs. And I believe that CV Resume it's helping to people to find, to attract the readers faster and helping to reach their goals quickly. Thank you. That's absolutely fascinating. And you spoke about being married. You, as someone who lived in Dubai for 10 years, working mostly in beauty and all that, which is a domain that has a lot more women than men. What was your experience of your dating life in Dubai? Was it hard because you were mostly with women? Was it easy? How did you meet and decide to get married? How was that experience as story of an expat from Kazakhstan working in Dubai? Yes, to be honest, working and when you are working, I'm one of the person who is dedicating myself for work. So I work when I come back from work, I don't have time to be honest for days. That's why after maybe eight years, I met my husband when I had a six month break from job. That time six months I dedicated for myself and to give the time for myself to travel and to see the beauty of the world. So that time after that I decided like that I'm ready to get married and to accept the man to my life. you know whenever we wish something like in our mind that will give you what you want in the right time and the in the right place so that time I decided to myself that now I'm ready to get married then my husband actually our family affair they introduced us each other and we liked each other from the first meeting and very fast within two months we decided to get married and Alhamdulillah we are happy so I can say to everybody it doesn't matter of the how long you've been the person it's about that you this is the right time and the right place and the right person maybe you met yesterday and today you married or you can meet ten years each other dates but it will not happen to the end the happily marriage so the time it doesn't matter the matter is about what you want and to find out your real desire in this life. Thank you. And Dubai is your second home. You lived for 10 years and you're still living there. Can you share two things? The difference between 10 years ago in Dubai and now what are some things you notice are evolving, progressing, and why do you love Dubai? What is the most thing for you about the city, the people, the culture, everything? To be honest, I love Dubai like my second home. Even so, when I'm traveling back to my country, to Kazakhstan, I feel like I'm in Kazakhstan just for vacation. But my real home, it became Dubai. So this is the real fact for me. Dubai, 10 years ago when I it was developing and nowadays it has been done a lot of work a lot of new things is coming every month it's opening new beautiful things in Dubai beautiful skyscrapers you will find everything in Dubai if you want to go to feel like you are in winter, we have sky Dubai, if you wanna have a helicopter too, we have everything in Dubai. So this is one of the reason, and this is the difference between 10 years and now. And I believe that Dubai is gonna grow more because I feel like Dubai, one of the places which is the safest place in the world, What catch me to stay here for such a long time as a lady, this is the safest country in this world, yes. I know my hometown, my home country also safe, but I feel here more safer and I am Muslim girl so I feel more easier to live here because whenever you want to pray, you have everywhere prayer rooms, you have everywhere mosques, so you will not lose the chance to pray on time. There is a lot of things to say, so this is the most important things why I love to buy. I agree 100%, thank you for that. And to ask even more from another side, let's say there is a woman or a younger person in their 20s and maybe she's in Kazakhstan or anywhere in the world and she's thinking about going to live in Dubai. You as someone who works with people's resumes, do you feel there is a lot of opportunity that a lot of people can succeed or it will be hard, they must be ready, that there is so much competition, they will get a lot of rejection before they find an opportunity or how would you describe it so that someone who never lived in Dubai and maybe she dreams of going there so she knows the reality and what to expect so that she's not broken-hearted or disappointed whatever it is? Yes this is very nice question first of all for the young generation for young girls I could say that if you have a dream you have to follow your dream and you listen to anybody somebody is telling about your dream negative you have to put in your mind that nobody will help you nobody will destroy you except yourself so you put you have to follow your heart the intuition will help you and you have to not give up on your dreams to a coming to UAE to Dubai it's I could say it's one of the best chance and it should be it can be a lucky chance you have to prepare yourself what you need you need to have experience or education and the most important thing is you have to speak english even you speak arabic but nowadays you know dubai it's multicultural multinationality uh city country so English is the top priority and you need to have your initiative and you have to bring your courage that you can do it and you have to believe you can do it you will do it it will gonna happen you have to believe in yourself. I like that let's add a bit more because it's an important topic. Maybe younger generation of women, of girls, they grow up on social media, they see women that maybe look too perfect and they think, oh, I'm ugly, I don't have confidence. Maybe my ideas are not important. How do you advise for them to find their self-confidence and their ability to trust themselves so that they will go for their big dreams? Yes, this is one of the, one of the I can say that may be a dark side of social media. When the young generations, they don't understand. They see like most of the people say thing that Dubai is luxury life. When you become union, when you arrive to Dubai, your life has become luxury life. It's all about yourself. You shouldn't follow. You have to follow those people what you can get something positive to your life. You have to follow those people what you can bring in your life something which is very useful. You can get some knowledge to improve in your life and to become like this person. The rest of them, you have to just ignore it because all of what other person have, it's her destiny. Your destiny is different. So you have to focus and you have to find out your own talents. Because I believe that God created everybody in different talents. For example, maybe you can sing good, but I can write it. I'm a copywriter and I'm doing it very good. maybe you can do very nice photo shooting, maybe somebody good in talking. So everybody has their own uniqueness, so you have to find out your uniqueness and to work on that. So you need to take from social media only the positive things. You shouldn't follow that you because that person has different path in this life and you have different path. If you will find out your uniqueness, you will become better than that person. I mean in a positive way. So always know to focus on yourself and to find out. Always you shouldn't stop in one thing. You have to improve all the time your knowledge. You have to improve your lifestyle. You have to improve your healthy style life. everything. You have to focus only on yourself and you can just get from social media only positive things in your life. This is what I can say to the young generation. I love that. Thank you so much and at the same time, one second, at the same time, do you see Dubai as a city that you can live in for a long long time even as a Muslim woman? Some people might consider it as a part of their life where eventually they will retire and go somewhere else. What motivates you to believe if you do that, you know, Dubai is for you, not only for a short time, but something place you can go there and build a life you stay in rather than a temporary destination to build a career and then return home. Because some of the women I interviewed, they would say something like that, like, oh I work and then when it's time for me I will return to Iran or to Turkey or whatever it is so what is your perspective on that? I believe that in this situation UAE is giving a lot of good opportunities and you have a chance if you are a good businessman and your business improvement and growing there is a chance to get the passport of United Arab Emirates So you will be the equal citizenship with the UAE nationality and you are going to have all the benefits. So whenever you retire, you get the retirement benefits as well. So I could say that this is the one of the good news for expats. And same time, it depends on the people, what they put as their plans. They have short-term plans, they have long-term plans. So what I could say, for me, I live with the moments. I live the day which I have and I'm enjoying every single day. From waking up, I appreciate my day, I appreciate my dad. We don't know what we're going to happen after one month. We don't know what we're going to happen tomorrow. So I'm one of the persons that I like to live with the moment. Of course, I have dreams. I will go with my dreams. But this is my house, and this is my life in Dubai. Thank you. That's absolutely fantastic. and you are a woman who is in the domain of beauty, you have a lot of experience, eight years, makeup, et cetera. What interested you most in that domain and in makeup? Is it after you make women look a certain way with their makeup, they feel more confident, more beautiful, and that energy of a happy woman is what interests you? Is it for yourself? You're like, I will learn more so that I do better makeup for myself. Is it because you feel more feminine that way? If you did another job, maybe in office, it feels too masculine, so you'll not be happy? Or what to you was so interesting about the domain of beauty, because we understood your love for travel and for making resumes. Now for the beauty domain, what was the love that you had for it? Okay, the makeup artist, it's to be a makeup artist was my choice and I still love it. and I'm doing for my friends makeup as well. I have a lot of certificates. Why I go for makeup? Because I love it. This is something which I'm enjoying to do it. I like most when the girl before and after this transformation of the ladies and they are very happy and they see somebody different with the makeup and they say, wow, this is me? Really, how do you do it? We cannot do that one at home. Please teach me, I want to do it like this every day. So this is, I'm not going to tire it about doing makeup. This energy when I'm getting, this is empowering me to do it much better. I love that you used the word empowerment And to finish this, what's your advice for women and for ladies who maybe want to make a decision that will improve their lives, but they don't feel empowered? They worry maybe they make a mistake or their parents will judge them if they fail or other people will make them feel ashamed if they make a mistake or at least they have that anxiety about it. What is your advice for them to find their confidence and to take steps outside of their comfort zone? Yeah, because that's the only way for them to make their big dreams become reality. Okay, so I would say that to make a mistake you shouldn't afraid to make a mistake because from each mistake you get the lesson. It's like a new step. You cannot go for a new step until you learn from the step which you are doing. So by making a mistake, you are learning from the life a new lesson. So this lesson, it will improve your life for the next step. It's like, you know, an exam. Until you pass the exam, you will not go to have a grade. It's the same. You have to pass this by mistake and to get this lesson, so I could advise to everyone not afraid to make a mistake. When you do the mistake, you have to say, breathe and think to have the solution. And you have to think why this mistake came to my life and which lesson I'm going to take from this mistake. Because mistake is not bad, it's mistake, it's good for your improvement. it's only for those people who can understand or you can just take that as a mistake and you can just get a negative way and if you will not get the lesson you will stuck in the same place because you will not go for the next step so we have to get the deep breath and we have to find out the solution. You have to think. Always make a meditation. It will help you to refresh your mind. To refresh your mind, it's very good to travel or just travel one hour a place, sit with yourself and you can finalize why this mistake happened and what it brings for you. And you will get the answer for sure. Thank you, Zahra, so much. It was my privilege and my honor to have you here to share your voice and your story. I wish you all the success, all the happiness in your marriage, all the success for your customized resume maker freelance job. And thank you for being here. Thank you, thank you so much Aziz and I appreciate that you are giving a chance for us to have a voice in this podcast. It's amazing initiative from your side to help to girls for the young generation to go through the life from the situation what they are having nowadays. So it will be a little help for them to empower them and to be in the right path in their life, to get the right decision as well. You are welcome.
